3D Technology in Modern Movies

Movies are our greatest source of entertainment. People from all ages, children to old age do find relief and pleasure watching movies. There have been many value additions to the modern movies that have attracted more audiences to the theatres. 3D technology has been one among those prominent value additions to our movies. In 1844, stereoscope was invented by David Brewster which could help in taking 3D photographic images. After some years Louis Duboscq improved this invention. He took picture in 3D of Queen Victoria and displayed the picture in Great Exhibition of 1851. This portrayal became very famous through the world and the origin of 3D technology can be traced to this picture. From there on 3D technology was in practice and after some stage this technology found its way into the movies as well.
At present 3D technology is the part and parcel of our film industry. Full time 3D films are much common nowadays and there are absolutely no movies that don't use any 3D technology in the Hollywood. There is a significant increase in the number of 3D movies and games released year by year. The modern technology improvements have made 3D more accessible to the masses. The old green and red paper glasses were replaced by plastic frames with green tinted lenses. These glasses fit easily and are more just like ordinary eyeglasses. The technology has improved a lot and it gives you real life experience. You would duck yourselves when you see something on the screen thinking for a second that's real. The theatres that show 3D movies give maximum comfort to the audiences who before were finding it very hard to kill the time in theatres. The risen popularity in 3D technology is evident from the fact that most of the previous year blockbusters from Hollywood were mostly in 3D format.
3D technology is now mostly used in the Hollywood. It kick started from the early 2000, were many big studios released full time 3D movies. In the year 2003, Oscar winning director, James Cameroon released a film Ghosts of the Abyss in 3D format. This is the first ever full length 3D feature film using IMAX. This movie made use of the latest technology Reality Camera System which used the latest HD video cameras. This technology was much accepted among other Hollywood directors and many films were then filmed using this camera. It includes 'Aliens of the Deep', 'The Adventures of Shark boy, 'Spy Kids 3D: Game over'. Etc. 'The polar Express', which was released in the year 2004, was the first animated 3D movie. This movie was so successful in the theaters such that a series of 3D animation films followed it.
The year 2010 can be called as a year of 3D technology. We saw many big budgeted films like 'Avatar' being released in the 3D format. Also sky television UK, started attempts for a 3D television as well. So it's very sure that the days to come are that of 3D technology.

Your New Retirement Lifestyle - Using the Tools of Technology (Part 1)

During our retirement years, a very important consideration for all of us is how we can make life more accommodating. Clearly, using technology can help. That is; the tools of technology can and will accommodate your planned lifestyle in ways that reduce time consuming activities and allow you to focus your efforts on what you really want to do. At the same time, you will have the world at your fingertips. These tools are a means to an end! If you need to spend excessive amounts of time figuring out how to use the technology, then what is the point? I'm reasonably certain that you have some understanding of the benefits of technology. You go online to bank, invest, find volunteer opportunities, participate in interest groups, and perhaps even start up something new for fun or profit. In my many years of experience as a technology facilitator for a public school district, I learned that there are few things in life that tools of technology cannot help you with. If you need...

Technology Investment - What You Need to Know to Profit by Investing in Technology

With the stock market on a crazy roller coaster this last year or so in the wake of the global financial crisis, investors are looking for sectors where they can make the most money on their investment; and, recover what money they have lost. I think a good argument can be made that technology investment will be one of the most promising sectors to be in for quite some time to come. Whether you are referring to green technology or the HITECH legislation intent on uploading medical records into computing "clouds" or nanotechnology, most experts agree that the future is quite bright in this area. Contrast that with non technology investment in such areas as has heavy industry or even Detroit auto manufacture and I think you'll find that maximum profit potential lies with technology. But how does one go about finding specific stocks or funds to invest in to take advantage of these technological breakthroughs without losing significant portions of the capital on stock...
